The field of crime analysis is growing rapidly. The demand
for persons trained in the science of analyzing crimes continues to
grow all across the country. Applicants seeking positions as crime
analysts must usually hold a Bachelors in Criminal Justice,
Psychology, or Sociology and have at least one year of experience.
The experience need not be in criminal information but the
applicant must have dealt with analytical information processing.
Many agencies will accept a two-year degree with a certificate that
is accepted by the states Department of Justice. When applying for
a position, some law enforcement experience is also extremely
helpful.
